If so, I can help. Having dealt with everything the aforementioned could throw at me; I now find myself in a position where I can help others struggling with similar issues. I have inadvertently become an 'expert' on a topic that nobody in their right mind would want to become an expert in. I know only too well how it can slowly eat away at one's soul and cause major disruption to any quality of life. More importantly, I know what it takes to come out the other end where you will have a whole new appreciation for life.

The good news? Anxiety is a learnt behaviour, and, therefore, it can be unlearnt. The bad news? It requires hard work and more often than not significant lifestyle changes. This should be exciting as it essentially forces you to chase a life you love in a world where so many settle for one they secretly loathe.

I'm not a psychologist, nor do I have a Ph.D. I am however a certified life coach which I have no intention of sugar coating because it holds very little weight in a world where everybody seems to be some sort of life coach these days. My real qualification comes from experience. For 13 years, I endured the same shit you currently have to endure. During the past, I amassed a solid template for what not to do as I slowly figured out what to do. Due to the fact that I now love my life, a feat I was convinced to be way beyond my reach (not to say I don't have my shitty days). That's not even taking into account the knowledge I've picked up from countless books, conversations, and helping others who've been dealt a similar hand. Better than any Ph.D. I've got the A all the way to the Z.

I’ve been (un)fortunate enough to experience all the shit that anxiety and depression can throw at you, and for some reason beyond my comprehension, I’m still here to tell the tale. It’s now my turn to help others struggling with the same condition.

The reason I've decided to write a book on the subject is quite simple: I wish I had it explained to me in the manner in which I am going to explain it. I wish I knew the new me back then, so I could have saved the old me from a whole heap of shit and years of unnecessary agony. If that makes sense?

I am now offering coaching/support to help others suffering from the same issues because I find it extremely gratifying work, and I may as well put this wisdom to use. 

It’s not a want, it’s a need. I need to leave a lasting, positive impact on your life that you can carry with you moving forward.

Why support is a good idea:

An anxious mind is a very lonely world to exist in. Trying to do this on your own will more than likely ensure you get caught in a self-perpetuating cycle where over time your situation will become significantly worse as you struggle for your freedom. I'm not about to settle down and conform to societies' norms. Nor should you. Something has got to change to free your mind and alleviate your anxiety. There are no short cuts with this work; it's the pursuit of shortcuts which ensure so many end up taking the very long and painful scenic route.

It's really quite black and white. Unfortunately, it's the shades of grey where the problems arise as we insist on overcomplicating everything while desperately seeking answers, only to find ourselves completely overwhelmed by the vast amount of resources out there claiming to have the only known cure available. 

The result of this is overwhelming overwhelm: a double negative that most certainly does not equate to a positive. To get to grips with your anxiety; a hybrid approach is required: one that address both the emotional side and physical side.

Seeking help for your anxiety is not a decision you should take lightly. I strongly recommend you read The Self-Help Conundrum before you even consider working with me, or anybody.

From my personal experience: I spent a lot of time sitting opposite different psychiatrists, psychologists, and many other experts whose walls were littered with degrees, masters, and Ph.Ds. Week in week out, we would dissect my past which ultimately led to increased frustration as very few tools were provided to help me manage my anxiety and propel me forward to a better future. A brighter future can be carved out, but the past can never be undone. So while it's good to understand, after a short period, everything you uncover will just make you angrier and more frustrated with your present situation and ensure you stay living in the past. It might even reach the point where you're just paying to be pissed off.

How’s this for a sales pitch?

While I may have declared myself an expert right out the gate, real experts in the world of anxiety are about as rare as the Geometric Tortoise. I can’t get rid of your anxiety or depression. With me, you get no guarantees. I'm not going to bullshit you in any way because it's not in my DNA. If it's crap you're after, try reading The Secret. I want to give those that I work with more than hope. I can guide you (if you let me) to a better life free of constant worry and anxiety. You'll have to read on but there is a catch.

How do I do this?

I listen. Some might say it's a lost art. Many will tell you I’m a terrible listener, but I’ve trained myself to be an excellent listener over the years. Once I’ve listened, I’ll then help you navigate your way around all the shit so you can tackle your problems head on, and get your life back on track. Not to go into too much detail, I'm going to hold you accountable and provide you with the required support to ensure this goes as smoothly, and quickly as possible

Ultimately, we need to change your beliefs, habits, and perception. You’re going to have to make lifestyle adjustments you may not want to. Initially, you might even feel worse because let's face it: if change were easy, everybody would be doing it. Change is never easy. It is, however, worth it.

I understand this can be a very painful process for anybody, so a part of my job is to ensure you feel comfortable throughout. I'll also do my best to provide you with a few laughs along the way, and you're going to have to pay me. Life’s a bitch, right? I wish I could do this for free but unfortunately, I cannot.

The Process

It will take place over VoIP (Skype, FaceTime or Google Hangouts) or the phone. It is preferable to use video as it will be much more beneficial to see each other. I understand this can be scary for some, and therefore, this could be tackled as an early goal to celebrate.

Our minds and circumstances are extremely complex; each and every individual is different. Therefore, everything is tailored specifically for you. 

The first session is FREE and will last approx. 45 minutes. The session is as much for you to get to know me and see if you want to work with me as it is for me to get to know you and see if I can help you. There are specific conditions I do not have experience with, and so, it would be extremely unfair of me to offer any assistance. If I have OCD, I am unaware of it, and so I am not in a position to help someone suffering from OCD. There are also circumstances I will not be able to relate to, and therefore, I will not be the best person for the job.

During the initial call, we will discuss the approach, including what you can expect and how many sessions you may need to budget for, and how best to spread them out. But we will also get down to it straight away and start working on sculpting a better, less anxious life for you going forward.

A Pre-requisite:

Here's the catch: It's easy to say you want to change, everybody wants to change. You need to be really willing to do the work required to change. If not, you're wasting your money, and you don't need to take on any more stress in your life at the moment. When I work with someone, I will do everything I can to help pave the way for a brighter future.
